Description

Are you afraid of networking? It turns out, you're not alone.

During this 2nd Meetup for NYC young women immigrants (we held our 1st Meetup back in November last year), our focus will be to provide you with key tools and tips on how to approach and connect with people at events, and become an expert networker. Through a combination of open discussions and interactive activities, you will learn all the basics of networking, you will identify your networking type, and you will start testing ideas to develop your networking pitch.

We will also have a bit of time during the Meetup dedicated to the presentation of LEAD, our free professional development program for young women immigrants. In particular, two groups of our fall LEAD graduates will present their final projects, an educational video about cyberbullying and a Photo & Storytelling exhibit of young women immigrants.

Snacks & soft drinks will be served.

Doors will open at 6:15pm, and the Meetup will start promptly at 6:30pm - Please be on time!

The event is open to all our LEAD graduates and current participants, and to any other young women immigrants (16-35 years old) who would be interested in joining our community, and in learning more about the LEAD program.

Space is limited, RSVP as soon as possible!
